I am delighted to announce the recipients of the HBCU Library Alliance-CLIR Sponsorship Subaward Program. After thorough consideration and review, the following five institutions have been selected for their exceptional proposals:

Lane College (TN) - Awarded $6,600 for digitizing the University Archives.
Texas College (TX) - Awarded $10,000 for "The Keepers of the Flame: Building a Safeguard for a Unique Archival Collection" project.
Oakwood University (AL) - Awarded $9,839.58 for "The Preservation and Digitization of Oakwood's Sounds & Visuals: Beginning with OUr Music" project.
Cheyney University (PA) - Awarded $5,000 for the purchase of crucial databases.
Lincoln University (PA) - Awarded $10,000 for the "Securing the Block: Turning the Langston Hughes Memorial Library into a Fortress of Knowledge" project.

We are confident that these institutions will utilize the awarded funds effectively to advance their respective projects and initiatives within their libraries and archives. These endeavors will contribute to greater accessibility, preservation, and dissemination of invaluable historical materials, ultimately enhancing research opportunities, educational experiences, and community engagement.

After thorough consideration and review, the following five institutions have been selected for their exceptional proposals: * Lane College (TN) - Awarded $6,600 for digitizing the University Archives. * Texas College (TX) - Awarded $10,000 for "The Keepers of the Flame: Building a Safeguard for a Unique Archival Collection" project. * Oakwood University (AL) - Awarded $9,839.58 for "The Preservation and Digitization of Oakwood's Sounds & Visuals: Beginning with OUr Music" project. * Cheyney University (PA) - Awarded $5,000 for the purchase of crucial databases. * Lincoln University (PA) - Awarded $10,000 for the "Securing the Block: Turning the Langston Hughes Memorial Library into a Fortress of Knowledge" project. We are confident that these institutions will utilize the awarded funds effectively to advance their respective projects and initiatives within their libraries and archives. These endeavors will contribute to greater accessibility, preservation, and dissemination of invaluable historical materials, ultimately enhancing research opportunities, educational experiences, and community engagement.
