Dillard University News March 2016 Dillard University Names Janel Green as Vice President for Business and Finance Dillard University is pleased to announce the appointment of Janel Marts Green as Vice President for Business and Finance. Green had been serving in the role on an interim basis since June 1, 2015, and officially assumed the role of Vice President on March 1, 2016. She has been with the University since 2011, having previously served as Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Business and Finance as well as Budget Director. "Janel has done an awesome job as our interim CFO," said Dillard President Walter M. Kimbrough. "She came in and was an authentic partner with all campus constituencies, rolled up her sleeves and did the work. Both at the board and cabinet levels, she has received lots of praise for her work." She is responsible to the President for overseeing Accounting and Finance, Investments, Budgeting and Forecasting, Student Accounts, Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities and Risk Management, and Auxiliary Services. Green graduated from the University of New Orleans where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Prior to Dillard, Green served as Finance Manager and AVP at Capital One Bank and Hibernia National Bank. Before moving into the banking industry, she also worked in the finance offices of United Healthcare and Ochsner Health System.en in a native New Orleanian. She and her husband Robby M. Green Sr. have two children, Robby Jr. and Rashad. SANDRA M.
