Primary Responsibilities
Saint Augustine’s University seeks a leader to serve as Director of the Prezell R. Robinson Library who has vision, energy, and experience to work collaboratively with the collegiate and external communities.

The successful candidate will play a university-wide role in the development and implementation of digital library capabilities and information technologies to support teaching, learning, and research.

The Director of Library Services is responsible for all areas of library management including strategic planning, fiscal management, personnel supervision, policy and program development, collection development, public and technical services, and facilities planning. The Director reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a compelling vision of the future for Saint Augustine’s University’s library system – strong leadership skills, senior library administrative experience, and strong communication skills.  Additional qualifications include: MLS from an ALA accredited institution; a record of effective strategic planning and implementation; demonstrated working knowledge of emerging library and information technologies and trends in higher education as they affect library services; marketing and project management knowledge and experience; evidence of effective budgetary and personnel management, and grantsmanship; and must embrace and observe the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association and support intellectual Freedom and Copyright Compliance.
