SSU earns continuing approval for teacher education

Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) granted continuing approval to Savannah State University's (SSU) College of Educationhttps://www.savannahstate.edu/News/2019/coe/index.shtml (COE) for the following educator preparation programs: Biology Education, Engineering & Technology Education; Mathematics Education. These programs earn a student a bachelor of science in education (BSED) degree, and prepare them to teach grades 6-12 in that subject.

Additionally, developmental approval was granted for a music education program.

The GaPSC was created by the state legislature to assume full responsibility for the preparation, certification and professional conduct of certified personnel employed in the Georgia public schools.
