Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well.  Today I'm celebrating the HBCU Library Alliance/ASERL Exchange Program.  The Exchange Program focuses on development of emerging leaders at HBCU libraries. Seventeen exchanges have been completed between HBCU and ASERL libraries since summer 2006. In this final phase of Mellon-funded leadership programming,  seven more HBCU librarians will work with an HBCU library or an ASERL library focused on a pre-identified area for strategic development within the HBCU. Additionally, staff from ASERL libraries will spend time at the partner HBCU. The expected outcome of the Exchange Program is development and implementation of projects to advance strategic objectives of the participating HBCU libraries, leading to service improvement and increased engagement with faculty and students on campus.
