JCSU initiative to tell West Side stories featured in Diverse Issues in Higher Education

Diverse Issues in Higher Educationhttp://diverseeducation.com/ magazine features Johnson C. Smith University's commitment to equipping students to be socially conscious through the classroom and civic engagement. Titled, "The Movement Lives," the article highlights how today's JCSU students are following in the footsteps of civil rights activists. The RUN-DNC 2012 initiative is featured prominently in the article, which explains how telling West Side stories has allowed residents to discuss issues and stories that matter to them. The article also tells how students involved in the RUN-DNC 2012 initiative participated in the Democratic National Convention this past September
