FVSU achievements available in congressional record

Fort Valley State University's accomplishments, under the leadership of President Larry E. Rivers, are now posted in The Library of Congress.

Congressman Sanford Bishop Jr., Georgia's second congressional district, submitted the comments on July 6. Biographical information about the university's eighth president, FVSU's burgeoning student enrollment, capital projects, its ranking, new programs and recent reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools are listed in the document. The statement is available in perpetuity online (here http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?r112:E06JY1-0054) ; and a permanent record is printed with all of the proceedings of the 112th U. S. Congress, according to Ashton McRae, Congressman Bishop's press secretary.
