New HBCU Library Alliance Staff

We are pleased to welcome Shaneé Willis to the team as Program Manager!

In her previous position as Director of Community Engagement for the Digital Public of America, Shaneé was PI for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Sustaining Digital Public Library of America's Network and Platform $500,000 two-year project. She also identified new partnerships, navigated diverse stakeholder needs and implemented sub-granting programs. Shaneé was acknowledged as the 2021 Library Journal Mover and Shakerhttps://www.libraryjournal.com/story/shanee-yvette-murrain-movers-shakers-2021%E2%80%93digital-developers and recognized for building national partnerships to address the historical inequity in digital collections.

As Program Manager, Shaneé is responsible for working with member institutions to identify new services and expand existing services by partnering with the membership to assess their needs. She will be responsible for developing program objectives and evaluation systems that align with the Alliance's mission and vision.

We will work together to cultivate and nurture relationships to offer leveraged discounts for services to member libraries and identify non-HBCU institutions to join the HBCU Library Alliance as affiliate members.  Shanee' will develop program communication for the Board, staff, and membership.

Feel free to connect with Shanee at swillis@hbculibraries.orgmailto:swillis@hbculibraries.org, 678-210-5801, ext. 103. Look to hear from her soon!

Respectfully,

Sandra
