Comey, a career litigator and multiple prominent stops in the federal government as a US attorney and acting US Attorney General, will serve as Howard’s 2017-2018 Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy. He will donate his $100,000 salary to students enrolling in the university from foster homes. “I am pleased to welcome Mr. Comey to Howard,” said Howard University President Wayne A.I. Frederick. “His expertise and understanding of the challenges we continue to face today will go a long way in sparking rich discussion and advancing meaningful debates across campus.” Comey praised Howard as a training ground for professionals seeking to impact important areas of policy and law. “I am honored to hold the King Chair this school year.
