Tuskegee University News October 30, 2017 Defense Intelligence Agency hosts info session, career fair on Nov. 2 Led by Major General Harry E. Miller Jr., representatives of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency will be on campus the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 2 to recruit students for career opportunities in the agency. DIA provides college graduates with career opportunities in a variety of technical, scientific and liberal arts disciplines. Beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Luther Foster Hall Auditorium, Miller, mobilization assistant to the DIA director, will provide students with an overview of the Defense Intelligence Agency before joining other DIA colleagues for a panel discussing the agency's career opportunities. A question-and-answer session will follow. After the presentation and panel discussion, students can speak directly with DIA representatives about career opportunities from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes. DIA's diverse workforce is skilled in military history and doctrine, economics, physics, chemistry, world history, political science, bio-sciences and computer sciences - to name a few. Its employees travel the world, and meet and work closely with professionals from foreign countries. Based in Washington, D.C., Major General Miller is the principal advisor to the DIA director regarding the effective integration and employment of Reserve forces supporting the DIA from across the services. He also serves as the director of the Reserve Integration Office and as a special assistant to the DIA director. The Defense Intelligence Agency provides military intelligence to warfighters, defense policymakers and force planners in the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence community in support of global military planning and operations and weapon systems acquisition.
