Energy Efficiency Rewarded at Cheyney University

Cheyney University Council of Trustees Chairman and President Michelle R. Howard- Vital received a check in the amount of $86,903 from Mr. Romulo L. Diaz Jr., PECO vice president of Governmental External Affairs and Mellanie Lassiter, PECO Corporate Contributions manager as part of PECO’s Smart Equipment Incentives.

Cheyney University was awarded the rebates as part of its efforts to save energy by installing energy-efficient lighting in 23 buildings across the campus. The check was presented during Cheyney’s Founders Day Convocation where PECO’s Lassiter also provided the keynote address.
