Citing lower standardized test scores as being a barrier to matriculation for many underrepresented minority (URM) applicants, the article explores how MSM faculty have developed and implemented interventions to enhance the academic success of its URM students based on an analysis of MCAT and subsequent USMLE Step 1 scores of its graduating URM students.
