Harris-Stowe to Host an Intimate Evening with Kendall Gladen

ST. LOUIS, MO (April 13, 2012) - Harris-Stowe State University will host an intimate evening with the young American mezzo soprano, Kendall Gladen, April 26, from 7-8 p.m. in the Emerson Performance Center Bank of America Theatre. Kendall Gladen is quickly earning a reputation as thriving young artist and has been heard throughout the United States with the Washington National Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Los Angeles Opera and Florida Grand Opera, among others.

Her role as the title character in "Carmen" gained rave reviews at the Florida Grand Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre and Saratoga Opera. Her Los Angeles Opera debut was in the role of Mercédès in "Carmen," where she also assumed the title role for two performances. On the concert stage Gladen has recently been heard with the San Francisco Symphony at Davies Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall in Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9."
