Description

Funding is a major barrier for our institutions in the provision and delivery of services to constituents. This webinar is designed to cover the basics of fundraising for non-profits and will include the concepts of the development process and what should be considered when putting together a fundraising plan.
Learning Outcomes

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

           - identify the components of a fundraising plan
           - conceptualize strategies to begin developing the fundraising plan

Instructor

Dameon A. Shaw is a seasoned fundraising professional with more than ten years' experience. He currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for University Advancement at Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU).  Dameon is part of the team that increased contributions to MVSU by over 165% (from approximately $480,000 to 1.2 million dollars) in one year.  He has been working with non-profits for over 18 years and has worked in all facets of University Advancement starting as alumni secretary and now in executive administration.
