President Ernest McNealey Resigns
Dr. Ernest McNealey has resigned his position as President of Stillman College. During his 16-year tenure, McNealey transformed Stillman into a competitive liberal arts institution that modeled excellence in all aspects of the college. Stillman earned both its first-ever ranking among the top tier of comprehensive colleges in the South and distinction as one of the "15 most wired" campuses in the country (U.S. News and World Report); achieved four first-ever disciplinary accreditations; underwent a massive building and infrastructure campaign that improved the beauty and functionality of the campus; built a world-class faculty where currently over 92% hold the terminal degree in their discipline; and fielded winning D-II athletic teams and auxiliaries that earned conference, regional, and national honors. The College thanks Dr. McNealey for this service and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
The Stillman College Board of Trustees is engaged in appointing a search committee to hire a new President. Dr. Peter Millet will serve as acting President during the interim.
