Alabama State University News October 1, 2014 Brick Campaign: Get Your Personalized Paver in Time for Homecoming ASU supporters are encouraged to "Help Lay a Foundation for Excellence" by purchasing a personalized brick, which is a great way to leave a lasting legacy and be a part of the University's ongoing transformation. Space still is available for placement of personalized bricks just in time for the 2014 Turkey Day Classic / Hornet Homecoming, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at The New ASU Stadium. The deadline date to purchase pavers in time for the next installation is November 3, 2014. Cromwell Handy, director of Alumni Relations, said the pavers are a highly visible opportunity to show support for the University. "Pavers may be personalized to commemorate graduation dates or to honor or memorialize loved ones and friends," Handy said. The pavers are located at the north entrance of the John Garrick Hardy Student Center Amphitheater. The first pavers were unveiled during a dedication ceremony held during Homecoming week 2013.
