In addition to her role as Chair of the Division of Business Administration at Allen University (SC), she teaches on a wide variety of topics, including Strategic Human Resource Management, Employee Training and Development, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Managing Teams, Business Ethics & Leadership and Quantitative Research.

Learning Outcomes:

●        Identify personal triggers of conflict.

●        Enact scenarios that inhibit successful strategies of managing conflicts.

●        Utilize simple techniques to manage conflict in a positive and healthy manner

●        Harness training to be more comfortable and confident to manage and resolve conflicts.

This one-hour presentation will discuss the new normal-previously unfamiliar or atypical situations which are becoming standard - which will have a significant impact on how libraries serve their clients - students, faculty, and the public.  Recommendations by leaders in academic librarianship on how librarians can respond to the “new normal” will be shared.

Mary Jo Fayoyin, who has recently been promoted to Dean of Library Services, is presenting this webinar. She’s served as director of Savannah State University’s library since 2001.  Her responsibilities include providing a vision for the archives, the audio-visual center and e-learning.

Learning Outcomes:  At the end of this session, attendees will be able to identify developments in higher education and how libraries can remain relevant in the future.
