Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well.  The Faculty Library Advisory Committee met on Friday, March 7th in Atlanta to assist statistician Dr. Sharon Freeman with developing a faculty survey. Research needs that can be supported by the library will be the survey focus.

As you are aware, the faculty survey is a component of the Expanding Library Support for Faculty in HBCUs project and aims to assess and strengthen library services in support of faculty research.

See Dr. Freeman's comments below regarding the meeting.

"There were several outcomes from the March 7th Faculty Library Advisory Committee meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia.  The main purpose of the meeting was for Committee members to participate in the design and development of a survey to help identify faculty research interests, plans, challenges, and support needs.  The Committee was provided with an overview of survey research techniques and used them to develop and refine survey items.  As the committee collaborated, they brought a wealth of insight and experience to the process, which resulted in a survey instrument that is ready for pilot testing. "

Stay tuned!

Respectfully,

Sandra
