TSU Making Transferring More Attractive
Transferring from community college to Texas Southern University just became easier for students as Texas Southern University makes bold moves to strengthen its partnerships.
The university is placing teams of staff members on site at local community colleges for the purpose of creating a smooth transition into its four-year institution. It is also offering scholarships to qualified students and assisting more closely with the registration process.
Representatives from TSU's admissions, recruitment and financial assistance offices and its 10 colleges and schools will have a visible presence on the community college campuses several times a week.
TSU is seeking to increase its number of transfer students and this move will help the university accomplish its goal as the university is beginning to receive an increase in its applicant pool from surrounding community colleges.
