Being physically distant requires us to create opportunities to communicate. As a Board member, I feel the need to stay close to the community. It's so important now that we offer and receive encouragement, that we uplift and receive necessary support, that we take the time to listen. The HBCU community must carry on the longstanding tradition of nurturing. To that end, the HBCU Library Alliance is introducing "Let's Connect - Member Voices." This 15-20 minute monthly virtual session allows our voices to be heard, and will feature a very brief Board update followed by reflections, concerns and news from members. Your voices are important as we move through this crisis. Please join us on Thursday, May 21, 11:00 ET for the first Let's Connect - Member Voices gathering. Opinions and thoughts should be shared in a respectable tone and manner both verbally and in the chat box. 4.
