LINCOLN UNIVERSITY CONTINUES MR.HBCU TRADITION

Jefferson City, MO- Mr. North Carolina A&T State University James Bowen II was named as Mr. HBCU 2015 as part of the 11th Annual Mr. HBCU Kings' Leadership Conference and Competition hosted by Lincoln University. The four-day conference offered campus kings from eight of the nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities workshops and activities aimed at promoting self awareness in their preparation to move forward in their academic and professional lives.

Bowen, an industrial and systems engineering major, is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. His platform for his term as Mr. North Carolina A&T is "A Legacy of Leadership."  Roger Thomas III, Mr. Prairie View A&M University was named First Runner Up and Mr. Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) Brian Fenderson earned the Second Runner Up honor.  Mr. Delaware State University James L. Jones was voted Mr. Congeniality.

A finalized date for the 12th Annual Mr. HBCU Kings' Leadership Conference and Competition will be announced in early spring.  The event will once again be hosted by Lincoln University.
