HSSU-SLU 2014 Summer Medical Internship Application Now Available
The HSSU-SLU School of Medicine Summer Internship Program in SLU's Department of Pharmacology & Physiology is designed to give Harris-Stowe Biology majors an opportunity to work in a professional medical or pharmacological research lab. The interns will gain experience in biological research, medical school culture and basic science lab techniques. Applicants should be at a junior or senior level, although sophomores may be considered if space permits. Applicants must be HSSU Biology majors and should either have declared a minor in Pre-Medicine or be interested in Pre-Medicine or graduate work in medical, pharmacological or physiological sciences. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in science and math courses. The internship is a paid six-week program, 40 hours/week, starting June 2 and ending on July 11, 2014. On-site safety training will be provided. There are a limited number of positions; applicants making the first screening will be interviewed before interns are chosen.
The deadline for complete applications is Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
