Colleagues;

I know I've asked this question before and somehow I lost my data, but wanted to know the following:

  1. Does your campus charge students to print? If so, what is the costs per page to print.

  2. Can students print for free? If so, are there any limitations, print allotments? Where can they print for free?

I look forward to your response, and this time, I promise, to save and share the data.

  1. Does your campus charge students to print? Yes If so, what is the costs per page to print. Momentarily we are in the process of converting to a campus-wide wireless system; in which students will be rationed 10 free pages a day/ additional pages will cost .10 (cents) per page (which will be electronically billed to there students account). In the recent years we did not charge students for printing, but only for copying.

  2. Can students print for free? If so, are there any limitations, print allotments? Where can they print for free? Refer to the aforementioned response.

We used to allow the first five copies free at Lawson State Community College.  Students were taking advantage of this.  They would come to the circulation desk twice or more a day to receive the first five copies.  However, the school purchased a printer for the library.  Students would name and print document from the computer.  From there, students go to the printer and select name of document to print.  The cost of copies is as follows:

10 cents per page for black and white
2.
25 cents per page for color
