Late English Professor Gifts University $350,000 for Student Scholarship Endowment

Linda Hill, an English professor at Claflin University who died April 2019, has left $350,000 to the school, CNNhttps://www.cnn.com/2020/11/18/us/linda-hill-claflin-university-trnd/index.html reported.

Hill taught at the South Carolina university for 46 years. Her gift - the largest ever from any current or former Claflin staff - for a student scholarship fund.

Claflin will also name its writing center after Hill, who was known for helping students improve writing skills.
